Search Engines or Categories? Search with keywords

A large disadvantange of search-engines is that the amount of data to be searched is even larger than by manually kept indexes.

By rought estimation, you can find a reasonably short list of results when specifying two words searching through about a million pages. So, searching in a large Intranet (as text-retrieval systems were designed to do) is not problematic.

Searching the whole Internet based on two words, gives far too many results, however. The Internet currently contains between 300 and 600 million pages. At least three really good words should be specified to keep the number of results within any practical bounds. Can you find three good words for your question?

We have to look into other techniques to reach our information.
